Retake of Stanton 795; 6/19/98. Looking northeast toward Bosque Grande Mesa from a point just off the road between San Luis and Cabezon on the east side of Arroyo Balcon. Area appears more heavily grazed in 1906 (perhaps by chickens in this case), and two "columns" of sandstone/shale near point of mesa seem to have collapsed.
