Cabezon from the south, about 1 mile above Cabezon bridge, August 15, 1946. Leopold gives the following description of the vegetation in his view: "...larger bush in foreground is Atriplex con, principal grass is Hilaria mutica in bunches, Hilaria jamesii, Galleta 10-15% density, some amount of grama spec?, small amount of Sporobolus airoides, very small amount of Artemisia spec?, very small amount of Artemisia tridentata, snakeweed in foreground, very few 100 yr. Down slope. August 15, 1946."
