Regional Climate Modeling

The American Drylands Project is affiliated with a project led by University of Colorado (with BLM, USFS, NOAA) to produce a comprehensive carbon management strategy for BLM and USFS lands in southwestern Colorado. Scientists and land managers will evaluate how variations in soil and vegetation properties influence vulnerability to regional drought. Our participation focuses on the effects of airborne mineral dust with emphasis on air quality, ecosystems, and people in the Four Corners Region of the Colorado Plateau.
