Regional Climate Modeling

We are developing the capability to run regional climate models, using Mesoscale Model 5 (MM5, from NCAR). This capability will support ecologic forecasting and will map land-surface response to climatic variability. Examples of the latter are the production of maps showing anticipated dust emissions and reactivated sand dunes in American drylands under expected climatic conditions in the near future.
